A snapshot in a bar becomes a studio portrait

This picture was taken in a bar. It dates from the 1960’s. The man in the picture has been deceased for many years, and this very nice picture of him and his wife together was (re-) discovered a few years ago. The picture is a little dark, and it is scratched somewhat from being stored in a shoebox at the bottom of a closet for all these years.

The retouched and restored version extracts the happy couple from the bar scene and places them in what could be a professional photographer’s studio environment. As a matter of fact, we think it is better than a studio environment because few photographers serve drinks, and the presence of alcohol certainly brings out a different quality of smile than what you can achieve in a studio!
